Central Government to create 2 Lakhs Jobs by 2017

Happy news for all the Government job seekers in the country. Modi government has announced that it will hire over 2 lakhs new people to its various departments by 2017. The Cabinet Secretariat has already asked all ministries to mention employment generation potential in each scheme while seeking approval of the Union Cabinet and its Committees. 

The Home Ministry will add 5,635 new jobs to take its strength to 22,006 in 2017. Police departments are estimated to take approximately 47,200+ employees this year. According to the budget estimates presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, there will be an increase of 10,894 in staff strength of the Defence Ministry. The Civil Aviation Ministry will have 1080 more posts to reach a total of 2140 by 2017. 
Mines Ministry will add 4399 new workforce to its existing staff strength of 8,503, as of 2015. Likewise, the Personnel Ministry will add 1,796 new posts. 
According to the budget estimates, the Department of Atomic Energy will add 6353 new jobs. There will be an estimated increase of 2072 posts in the External Affairs Ministry in 2017 as against the existing strength of 8913, the report says.
Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions said that projection has been made after due consideration and keeping in mind the futuristic vision of the government.
