Responsibilities

1. Participate in 24x7 shifts
2. Monitor the stability of our products with various internal tools.
3. Handle incident response, troubleshooting and fix for various product/services.
4. Handle escalations as per policies/procedures.
5. Get different internal/external groups together to resolve production site issues effectively.
6. Communicate clearly on tickets, phone calls made to the team about various issues.
7. Exhibit a sense of urgency to resolve issues.
8. Ensure SLA's and Operational standards are met.
9. Raise tickets to different internal groups to resolve recurrent problems,alerts and follow-up on escalated issues.
10. Liaison with engineering teams for RCA's, permanent resolutions on issues affecting production sites.
11. Contribute to Operations handbook.
12. Ensure smooth hand-offs between shifts.

Our memory is extremely large. For comparison, if your brain worked like a digital video recorder in a television, 2.5 petabytes would be enough to hold three million hours of TV shows. You would have to leave the TV running continuously for more than 300 years to use up all that storage, according to Scientific American. 
So its something else which is making us running out of memory. And that is our attitude, that we have a memory problem and our area of interest. Make what you learn interesting. Compare what you study with what you love, real life situations etc... Heal your thought that you have a memory problem. Remember, the more you fire your neurons, the more sharp it will become. And its not a one day process. Its attained over time. 

How to prepare?
You don't have to study everything. One of the misconception that most of the people have is that they need to study anything and everything. Just go through the syllabus and a coaching session (recommended).

So, every one is capable of getting a Government job. As the positions are limited there is a criteria to filter. The best prepared will go through. Always remember, Success is never an accident. Its the product of smart work over time. Its not an overnight process. Study for an hour a day. Double your learning and you’ll triple your success.

Central Government to create 2 Lakhs Jobs by 2017

Happy news for all the Government job seekers in the country. Modi government has announced that it will hire over 2 lakhs new people to its various departments by 2017. The Cabinet Secretariat has already asked all ministries to mention employment generation potential in each scheme while seeking approval of the Union Cabinet and its Committees. 

The Home Ministry will add 5,635 new jobs to take its strength to 22,006 in 2017. Police departments are estimated to take approximately 47,200+ employees this year. According to the budget estimates presented by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, there will be an increase of 10,894 in staff strength of the Defence Ministry. The Civil Aviation Ministry will have 1080 more posts to reach a total of 2140 by 2017. 
Mines Ministry will add 4399 new workforce to its existing staff strength of 8,503, as of 2015. Likewise, the Personnel Ministry will add 1,796 new posts. 
According to the budget estimates, the Department of Atomic Energy will add 6353 new jobs. There will be an estimated increase of 2072 posts in the External Affairs Ministry in 2017 as against the existing strength of 8913, the report says.
Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions said that projection has been made after due consideration and keeping in mind the futuristic vision of the government.
